The 2017-2018 Big 12 schedule for WVU women’s basketball

The 2018 Big 12 Women’s Basketball Championship is scheduled for March 2-5, at Chesapeake Energy Arena, in Oklahoma City.

WVU defeated Baylor 77-66 in the title game on March 6. The Mountaineers earned a berth to the 2017 NCAA tournament by virtue of winning the conference tournament, not on record alone. Coach Mike Carey will hope his team can improve their 20-10 regular season record from 2016-2017. To do so, he will need tournament most outstanding player Tynice Martin at full health. She is recovering from an injury suffered while playing for the USA Basketball U-23 women’s team this summer.

Now, the schedule has been finalized for the 2017-2018 WVU women’s basketball season. The Mountaineers will play in the Paradise Jam in the U.S. Virgin Islands over Thanksgiving Break, which includes a matchup against Virginia Tech on Saturday, November 25. WVU will travel to Texas A&M on Sunday, December 3, as part of the SEC/Big 12 Challenge. On Thursday, December, 7, WVU will host Pitt. All times and broadcast details are TBA.
