After weeks of speculation about the future of Jovon Durante playing for the Mountaineers, the wide receiver himself made his announcement on Saturday.
He’ll join the upstart Florida Atlantic Owls, to play close to home.

Questions about Durante’s future began back in July when he did not appear on the preseason depth chart.
Durante also missed the first three weeks of fall camp.
Dana Holgorsen answered these questions, in part, at an informal presser on August 6.
"He is dealing with personal issues," Holgorsen said. "He has not reported. I don’t know if he will, I don’t know when he will. He has personal things that he has to work on. We are going to get some other guys ready to go."
According to 247 Sports, the personal things that Durante is working on was said to be his grandmother's funeral with his family in Miami.
Boca Raton, home of Florida Atlantic University, is about 38 miles north of Miramar, where Durante is from.
Due to NCAA transfer rules, Durante will have to sit out the 2017 season.
During his time in Morgantown, Durante caught 59 passes for 709 yards and seven touchdowns.
