Basically, she’s beyond needing a bigger mantel. We suggest she just have an entire room for her awards.

Kadeisha Buchanan picked up one final award for her college career: Big 12 Female Athlete of the Year. This is the first time a West Virginia athlete has won this honor.

The decorated student-athlete is the current holder of the MAC Hermann Trophy, is the National Player of the Year for espnW and TopDrawerSoccer.com, and was a four-time NSCAA All-American. During her four years starting for WVU, Buchanan was named Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year and All-Big 12 First Team four times.

Buchanan led the Mountaineers to the national championship game in December 2016, coming up just short.

Buchanan is now with Olympique Lyonnais in France and already winning trophies. Lyon won the UEFA Women’s Champions League, Coupe de France Feminine and Division 1 Feminine during the 2016-2017 season.
