West Virginia University will host the 2019 Big 12 Conference Men’s Golf Championship on The Old White TPC course at The Greenbrier in the Spring of 2019, as announced today by the Big 12 Conference. This will mark the first time the Mountaineers will have hosted the event, after bringing the golf program back after a 30-year hiatus.

Specific dates for the Big 12 Championship will be announced closer to the event.

The Old White TPC is also the home of The Greenbrier Classic, an annual favorite stop on the PGA Tour for many pros because of the amenities and activities they can enjoy with their families. The Old White TPC suffered heavy damage during the flooding on June 23, 2016, leading to the 2016 Greenbrier Classic being cancelled. After countless hours of work, the course has been repaired and The Greenbrier Classic will resume as planned this year on July 3rd. Already committed to play in the event is Bubba Watson, Phil Mickelson, John Daly and West Virginia’s own Christian Brand, who is currently competing on the PGA’s Web.com Tour.

Badges to The Greenbrier Classic are free to everyone and can be reserved at GreenbrierClassic.com.
