The good news just keeps coming for the West Virginia Mountaineers, and doesn’t look to be letting up any time soon. The Mountaineers just received their seventh verbal commitment in the 2018 recruiting class from Canton, Ohio native Josh Chandler, which he just announced on Twitter this afternoon.

Chandler camped at West Virginia on Wednesday, as a last minute decision, and it paid off. Chandler fell in love with Morgantown and his performance during the camp gained him an official offer from the Mountaineer coaching staff.

Chandler accounted for 80 tackles, 12 tackles for loss and one interception as a junior for the McKinley Bulldogs, and has seen his recruitment really start to pick up in the recent months. Chandler is currently rated as a 2-star prospect, according to 247Sports’ composite score, and held offers from Air Force, Eastern Michigan, Western Michigan, Akron and Marshall.
