West Virginia dominated Texas from the mound en route to a 4-3 win.

Alek Manoah got the start for the Mountaineers (32-21, 12-11 Big 12) and pitched a solid 4 13 innings, allowing one run on three hits.

Austin-native Jackson Sigman relieved Manoah after Texas (33-20, 10-12) scored on an RBI single and clinched his fifth win of the season. Braden Zarbnisky got his sixth save of the season, pitching the final three innings of the game and, like Manoah, allowed only one run on three hits.

Chase Illig and Darius Hill both dominated in the batter’s box, both bringing home two runners each.

With the win, West Virginia has clinched at least a four seed in the Big 12 Baseball Championship in Oklahoma City next week.

The rubber match of the series will be tomorrow at 2:00 PM ET on the Longhorn Network.
