Carter did have a private workout with the Boston Celtics yesterday, but it appears it yielded negative impressions on his immediate NBA future.
Elijah Macon's future is still unkown. He has already graduated from WVU and it has been speculated that he will venture into a professional career.
If Macon does return, the Mountaineers will be above the scholarship limit with five incoming freshman including 4-star recruit Derek Culver.
West Virginia will begin their season on Friday, November 10 against Texas A&M in the Armed Forces Classic at the Ramstein Air Base in Germany.
