West Virginia scored in seven of the eight innings they came up to bat in a 15-5 win over Gardner-Webb.

The Mountaineers (29-20) scored their 15 runs off of 15 and two Runnin’ Bulldog errors.

BJ Myers started the game on the mound and picked up his fourth win of the season, allowing all five of Gardner-Webb’s runs off of 11 hits, while striking out five.

Kyle Davis and Andrew Zitel led West Virginia offensively. Davis had three hits, netting five RBIs and scored three runs himself. Zitel hit his first career home run in only his eleventh at-bat of the season in the eighth inning.

The Mountaineers and the Runnin’ Bulldogs close out the short series Sunday at 1:00 PM ET.
