Mike O’Laughlin - Wide Receiver - Fenwick High School (Fenwick, IL)
Mike O’Laughlin, rising senior WR at Fenwick (IL), announced late Saturday night that he has committed to WVU. O’Laughlin, who stands 6’-5” and weighs 213 pounds, offers height at a position the Mountaineers have lacked in recent years.
Incredibly blessed and thankful to have chosen to continue my academic and athletic career at West Virginia University @AllenTrieu @EDGYTIM pic.twitter.com/J9DQJ2s6GP

O’Laughlin led the Friars to an 11-2 record before a controversial loss to Plainfield North in the Illinois 7A Semifinals.
The Mountaineers were one of six offers extended to O’Laughlin. The other schools were Ball State, Central Michigan, Cincinnati, Miami (OH), and Western Michigan.
Other than being a wide receiver for Fenwick’s football team, he is also a power forward for the Friar basketball team.
Who knows? Maybe he could be another multi-sport athlete for WVU (think Jarrett Brown).
