Game Notes

  • West Virginia and Gonzaga have played each other three times, and the Bulldogs lead the series 3-0. The Bulldogs were responsible for bouncing the Mountaineers from the 2012 NCAA tournament in the second round, with a 77-54 win. The programs followed that up with a home-and-home series the following two seasons, with Gonzaga winning both games.
  • Gonzaga has shot 12-of-46 (26%) from 3-point range in two tournament games, after shooting 37.7 percent entering this week. The Mountaineers, on the other hand, have the best three point shooting percentage of any team remaining in the tournament, shooting 52% from beyond the arc.
  • West Virginia guard Teyvon Myers’ status for the game is in question due to an ankle injury.
  • VegasInsider.com has West Virginia as the underdog at +3, with the over set at 148.5 total points.
