OPENING THOUGHTS

Now that we have the men in the Sweet 16, time to get the women in.

It’s a great thing to think about, but after the way we played Elon, I’m concerned.

For those of you who decided to embrace the Irish in you on Friday, here are the highlights from that game:

It took a while for the Mountaineers to prepare an answer for Elon’s Shay Burnett.

If they have problems, what are they going to do against Maryland?

The Terps have only lost to UConn (by 6) and Ohio State (by 11).

I don’t mean to be “that guy”, but the Big 12 Championship honeymoon might be over.

I hope not, but probably.

KEYS TO THE GAME

  • Don’t let it be a 90-point game. Coach Carey said this earlier this weekend. If the Terps make it a high schoring game, the Mountaineers wil lose.
  • Let Tynice and Pardee loose. These girls were firing on all cylinders against Elon on Friday. Let them play their game and WVU should hang around.

HOW AFRAID SHOULD WE BE

Ten. I’m as afraid of the Terps as I am of Stewie’s pet turtle Sheldon.

PREDICTION THAT WILL BE WRONG

Sorry to say it, but the Mountaineers’ magical month of March will come to an end on Sunday.

Maryland 76, West Virginia 73
