Jalen Harvey has signed his National Letter of Intent, and will continue his collegiate football career at West Virginia University. A 6'2, 315 pound defensive tackle, Harvey will join his Northwest Mississippi Community College teammate Quandarius Qualls in Morgantown.

Harvey started his career at Syracuse, where he took a redshirt before transferring to Northwest Mississippi. Primarily used as a run stuffer, Harvey will join the competiton to replace the literally huge hole created by the graduation of nose tackle Darrien Howard, and will get a chance to compete early on in spring ball after enrolling at West Virginia this semester.

Harvey was recruited primarily by Joe Wickline and Bruce Tall, and was a consensus three star prospect across the three major services. Jalen has two years of eligibility remaining.

Harvey’s only other offer coming out of junior college, according to 247Sports, was the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga. Coming out of high school, Jalen held offers from Syracuse, Boise State, UAB and Western Kentucky.
