Ezekiel Rose has signed his National Letter of Intent, and Tony Gibson's front seven gets another addition with winning experience in the form the 6'-3”, 230lb defensive end from Buddy Stephens' (and Clint Trickett's) East Mississippi Community College. There is still no word as to whether or not he will be bringing Brittany Wagner along with him to Morgantown.
Rose has already enrolled at West Virginia and will get the benefit of spring ball reps in Tony Gibson's sometimes complicated 3-3-5 scheme. Rose made his biggest contributions as a pass rusher, finishing with six and a half sacks for the Scooba, Mississippi based Lions.
Rose is a 247Sports Composite three star prospect and will hopefully be able to make an immediate impact on passing downs. Rose will see most of the action at weak-side defensive end position, but could also be used to drop into pass coverage in zone blitz packages.
Ezekiel also held offers from Marshall and Southern Mississippi, and will have three years to complete his final two years of eligibility.
