The West Virginia University coaching staff has set up a pipeline from Lackawanna C.C. in Pennsylvania over the last few years, and this year it produced a monster. Isaiah Hardy has faxed his National Letter of Intent to Morgantown, and will continue his collegiate career as a Mountaineer.
The 6’-7”, 335lb offensive lineman also held offers from Auburn and Missouri, but West Virginia shot to the top of his list when they offered him a scholarship last February. Former West Virginia offensive line coach Ron Crook had previously been Hardy’s lead recruiter but, after he left the program, Joe Wickline and Mountaineer special teams coach Mark Scott took over and sealed the deal.
Hardy took his official visit to Morgantown on the weekend of January 14th, and committed to the Mountaineers last week. Isaiah could see playing time immediately, but has three years to finish out his two remaining years of eligibility.
