Though the Fordham Rams had upset on the mind, the #10 Mountaineers got their eleventh consecutive win — the longest such streak since 2010 — as they prepare for the rigors of the Big XII.

WVU took a 17-16 lead at the 13:52 mark, after having swapped the lead back and forth six times and did not look back, though the Rams continued to fight till the final whistle, cutting the lead to just five before WVU reeled off a 17-6 run to close out the second-half.

Daxter Miles led the Mountaineers with 21-points, but it was Jevon Carter’s 12 assists and 10 points—his fifth career double-double—who stole the show. Carter and Miles were joined by four other WVU players in double-figures, the first time WVU has had six players with ten or more points since November of 2016 against New Hampshire, including Sagaba Konante who recorded his second double-double of his career with 11 rebounds and 12 points.
