James blew the West Virginia coaching staff away at one of the Elite summer camps, and it didn’t take long after that for him to announce that he wanted to be a Mountaineer. The 6’2” wideout could possibly make a push for immediate starting time as a true freshman, and West Virginia receivers coach Tyron Carrier has said he can turn James into a first round draft pick.

James picked West Virginia over offers from Cincinnati, Maryland and Mississippi State.
