West Virginia Mountaineers wide receiver David Sills V has been named one of three finalists for the Biletnikoff Award, as announced by The Tallahassee Quarterback Club Foundation, Inc, the creator and sponsor of the award.
Sills currently leads the country in touchdown receptions with 18 touchdowns on 57 catches, and is only 97 yards away from breaking the 1,000-yard mark on the season. Sills has had four 100-yard or better performances this season, with his career high of 153 yards and three touchdowns coming against East Carolina.
Colorado State’s Michael Gallup and Oklahoma State’s James Washington round out the list of finalists. The pair are No. 1 and No. 2, respectively, in receiving yards on the season.
This marks the third time in five years that West Virginia has had a Biletnikoff finalist. Stedman Bailey was passed up for the award in 2012, and Kevin White was in the running in 2014.
