Following their first win over a ranked opponent since October 2014, the West Virginia Mountaineers find themselves in the top 25 again! After a tumultuous weekend of college football which saw #2 Clemson Tigers lose to the Syracuse Orange, #8 Washington State Cougars lose to California Bears, #5 Washington Huskies lose to Arizona State Sun Devils, #10 Auburn Tigers lose to LSU Tigers, #24 Texas Tech Red Raiders lose to the Mountaineers and #25 Navy Midshipmen lose to Memphis Tigers, there is a shakeup abound in the polls.
Alabama Crimson Tide finally gains all 63 first place votes and becomes an unanimous choice as the best team in the land. Penn State Nittany Lions move up to #2 after avoiding Upset Saturday with a bye week at the perfect time.
The Georgia Bulldogs move up to #3 where they will remain until they are stomped to death by Nick Saban’s march to a national title. TCU Horned Frogs move up to #4 after handling both Mother Nature and Bill Snyder.

Over in the AP, things are very similar, with WVU coming in at #23. The Big 12 has three teams in the top 10, TCU, Oklahoma Sooners and Oklahoma State Cowboys. The Big Ten has three: Penn State, Ohio State Buckeyes and Wisconsin Badgers, while the SEC has two, Alabama and Georgia and the ACC has two, Clemson and Miami Hurricanes.
