Lamonte McDougle gives West Virginia their second commitment of the night

The Mountaineers are batting 1.000 for the day, and hope to see the success continue to roll through National Signing Day

West Virginia picked up their second verbal commitment of the night when Deerfield Beach, FL defensive tackle Lamonte McDougle announced he will be signing with the Mountaineers on Wednesday.

The Mountaineers were considered a favorite to land the 247Sports Composite three-star prospect for some time now. McDougle was previously committed to Washington State, but opened his recruitment back up in September. The 6'1", 295lb defensive lineman held a pretty impressive list of offers from numerous Power 5 programs, and chose the Mountaineers over Purdue, Arkansas and North Carolina.

McDougle's commitment gives West Virginia their 21st commitment in this class. He will sign his National Letter of Intent on Wednesday.
