The Mountaineers were considered a favorite to land the 247Sports Composite three-star prospect for some time now. McDougle was previously committed to Washington State, but opened his recruitment back up in September. The 6'1", 295lb defensive lineman held a pretty impressive list of offers from numerous Power 5 programs, and chose the Mountaineers over Purdue, Arkansas and North Carolina.
McDougle's commitment gives West Virginia their 21st commitment in this class. He will sign his National Letter of Intent on Wednesday.
