Arndt ready for first start against Missouri | The Exponent Telegram
For almost five years now, Justin Arndt has been looking for that light at the end of the tunnel. He finally sees it, knows it’s coming at him with as much speed and power as any SEC player can muster and he’s ready to meet it head on, even if it might be like a crash between a coal diesel and a hand car.
WVU special teams could be area of concern versus Missouri | Charleston Gazette-Mail
Special teams can be exciting and excruciating in an opening game. WVU’s coverage and return teams are a lot like the offense and defense. They’re missing starters from last season and counting on either new starters or newcomers to play critical spots. There’s no way to guarantee someone new to his job won’t miss a block on a return or vacate his lane when he’s covering a kick. It’s a new experience at a different speed.
West Virginia Athletics:
Late Goals Deliver Win for No. 4 WVU | WVU Athletics
Though 66 minutes passed without a score, Thursday’s contest was never in doubt, as the No. 4-ranked West Virginia University women’s soccer team outplayed Purdue and earned a 2-0 win at Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium. Back-to-back goals from junior forwards Heather Kaleiohi and Michaela Abam delivered the Mountaineers (4-0-1) their fourth straight victory in front of 1,320 fans and pushed the team’s home unbeaten streak to 28.
