On a day where everyone here at The Smoking Musket is focused on Saturday, the WVU conference hoops schedule came out.
The conference season tips off on December 30, when the Mountaineers travel to Stillwater, OK to take on an Oklahoma State team that finished 12-20. A record that was not good enough to keep Travis Ford at the helm.
A Sooner team without Buddy Hield will come to Morgantown on January 18. Despite losing much of their starters from last season, Oklahoma still appears to be a dark horse Big 12 contender.
The Mountaineer Maniacs should be prepared for another court storming on January 24 when Kansas returns to Morgantown. The Jayhawks will be looking for their first win at the Coliseum since WVU joined the Big 12 back in 2012.
The Mountaineers close out the Big 12 conference schedule on March 3 when Iowa State, another dark horse Big 12 contender, comes to Morgantown for a Friday night tilt.
The entire conference schedule is on the tweet below. WVU's full schedule is available here.
