HBO’s Hard Knocks Will Follow Former West Virginia Mountaineer Receiver Tavon Austin And The Los Angeles Rams

West Virginia fans have the opportunity to follow one of the all-time Mountaineer greats as he works his way through training camp and aims for a breakthrough season.

The popular HBO Sports series Hard Knocks returns tonight at 10PM EST, and this year the show follows the Rams as they make their return to Los Angeles after spending 20 years in St. Louis. Former West Virginia superstar Tavon Austin is sure to be featured in a large role as he looks to finally have his breakout season, after showing flashes of greatness in his previous three seasons.

The show, which serves as a training camp documentary, is produced by HBO Sports and NFL Films, two of the premier entities in the realm of sports and television. Packed with drama that will keep you on the edge of your seat, Hard Knocks gives fans a rare chance to see the inner workings of the National Football League.

With anticipation building as the NFL returns to Los Angeles for the first time in 22 years, HBO Sports, NFL Films and the Los Angeles Rams team up for an all-access look at what it takes to make it in the National Football League on a new season of the league’s signature documentary TV show. Debuting TUESDAY, AUG. 9 (10:00-11:00 p.m. ET/PT), HARD KNOCKS: TRAINING CAMP WITH THE LOS ANGELES RAMS will be there every step of the way as NFL Films cameras follow the organization’s return to Southern California.

The NFL meets Hollywood as the Rams move to Los Angeles with little time to spare in their quest to build an NFL roster and establish a new tradition in Southern California.

A 30-person NFL Films crew is at the Rams’ training camp at team headquarters in Southern California, shooting more than 1,500 hours of footage over the course of the series.

Winner of 14 Sports Emmy® Awards for production excellence, HARD KNOCKS launched with the Baltimore Ravens in 2001, followed by the Dallas Cowboys in 2002, and resumed in 2007 with the Kansas City Chiefs, subsequently spotlighting the Cowboys (2008), Cincinnati Bengals (2009), New York Jets (2010), Miami Dolphins (2012), Bengals (2013), Atlanta Falcons (2014) and Houston Texans (2015).
