Exree Loe is a 6’-0, 190 pound cornerback out of Johnstown, PA, only 90 miles from Morgantown. He originally committed to the University of Pittsburgh but chose to rescind that commitment to ensure he was making the best possible decision. Loe then narrowed his options down to the West Virginia Mountaineers and the Maryland Terrapins.
Ultimately, the wide-open offenses of the Big 12 and the opportunity to play immediately at West Virginia were more appealing than the run-heavy, traditional offenses of the Big Ten, according to Shawn Piatek of the Tribune Democrat.
Loe becomes the seventh defensive back and 14th overall commitment for the Mountaineers. With West Virginia set to lose seven seniors from this year’s class, defensive backs have been a high priority for Dana Holgorsen and his staff.
Loe held offers from many major programs in the region, including Pitt, Maryland, Louisville, Rutgers and Temple. Loe celebrated his new commitment by intercepting a pass and taking it to the house.
