Jordan McCabe, a 2018 point guard from Wisconsin, committed to Bob Huggins and the Mountaineers this evening.
McCabe selected West Virginia over Minnesota, DePaul, Missouri, and others. Currently between 5'10 and 6' (depending on who you believe), he is a prototypical point guard with an elite ability to handle the basketball. West Virginia was one of the first major programs to offer McCabe last August.
McCabe becomes the first commitment for the 2018 class. He is a four star prospect according to ESPN, and a three star according to Scout, Rivals, and 247. 247 rates McCabe as the 129th best player in the 2018 class and the 4th best player from the state of Wisconsin. ESPN ranks him as the 26th best point guard in the class and the 3rd best player in Wisconsin.
McCabe is entering his junior year at Kaukauna High School in Kaukauna, Wisconsin. Although highlight videos can be misleading, it's pretty safe to say that McCabe will be one of the more entertaining players to come through Morgantown in quite a while.
