Kevin Jones Close To Deal With Russian Club Lokomotiv Kuban

WVU great Kevin Jones will spend next season with one of the top clubs in Europe.

According to a report from Eurohoops.net, former Mountaineer great Kevin Jones is close to an agreement with Lokomotiv Kuban in Russia.

Lokomotiv Kuban participates in the Russian domestic league (VTB) and the Euroleague, the second best league in the world. The club finished third in the Euroleague playoffs last season.

Jones spent last season with Serbian club Partizan Belgrade, averaging over 16 points and nearly 8 rebounds per game in the Adriatic League.

During his four seasons in Morgantown, Jones amassed over 1,800 points and over 1,000 rebounds. He averaged 19.9 points and 10.9 rebounds per game during his fantastic senior season. He had 33 double-doubles in his career, tying for 7th all-time in school history.

Jones played in 32 games in the NBA for the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2012-13. He averaged 3 points and 2.3 rebounds per game for the Cavs.
