WVU Basketball Releases 2016-17 Nonconference Schedule

The nonconference schedule for the 2016-17 WVU men's basketball team has been set.

The highlight of the nonconference portion of the schedule is a rematch against expected top 5 team Virginia. The Mountaineers will travel to Charlottesville on the first Saturday of December.

West Virginia again returns to Charleston, WV for a nonconference matchup, this time against Western Carolina on December 7th.

• November 14th - Mississippi Valley State (home)
• November 18th - NIT Season Tip-Off, opponent TBD (home)
• November 24th - NIT Season Tip-Off, Florida State, Temple, or Illinois (Brooklyn, NY)
• November 25th - NIT Season Tip-Off, Florida State, Temple, or Illinois (Brooklyn, NY)
• November 28th - NIT Season Tip-Off, opponent TBD (home)
• December 3rd - Virginia (away)
• December 7th - Western Carolina (Charleston, WV)
• December 10th - VMI (home)
• December 17th - UMKC (home)
• December 20th - Radford (home)
• December 23rd - Northern Kentucky (home)
• January 28th - Big 12/Sec Challenge, Texas A&M (home)
