The Mountaineers have pulled in a high profile recruit, this time in speedster Mike Harley. Harley is a top 400 nationally ranked player from South Florida. Harley is undersized at 5'-9", but the Mountaineers and Dana Holgorsen have shown they can create space for playmakers, no matter the size.
Harley had a host of FBS offers, including elite programs Michigan and Miami. Harley is ranked as the number 56 wide receiver in the 2017 recruiting cycle and has been considered a fast-rising player. He jumped over 60 spots in the 247 rankings in the past few weeks.
The recent crop of receivers and players to be chosen in the NFL draft also influenced Harley's decision.
They always put their inside receivers into the league. They were my first offer. I can definitely play there my freshman year and learn from Shelton Gibson and Jovon Durante. Then it will be time to shine my sophomore and junior year. - newest Mountaineer commit, Mike Harley
