The WVU men's basketball team will be taking on the Texas A&M Aggies in next season's Big 12/SEC Challenge.
According to Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports, the Mountaineers will host the Aggies in Morgantown. The date and time has yet to be determined.
Last season's Big 12/SEC Challenge went horribly for the Mountaineers, as they were dominated in Gainesville by the Florida Gators 88-71.
Other matchups, per Rothstein:
- Kansas @ Kentucky
- Baylor @ Ole Miss
- Texas @ Georgia
- Iowa State @ Vanderbilt
- Kansas State @ Tennessee
- Florida @ Oklahoma
- Auburn @ TCU
- Arkansas @ Oklahoma State
- LSU @ Texas Tech
West Virginia has faced Texas A&M only once in the school's history, defeating the Aggies 73-66 on a neutral site during the 2009-10 Final Four season. Texas A&M bolted the Big 12 one season before the Mountaineers came on board.
Mike Rutherford of SB Nation has A&M in the "next five in" of his super early preseason rankings.
