With spring drills approximately halfway over, WVU will once again have a full complement of assistant coaches.
In addition to being a really good receiver who knows the offense, Carrier comes to WVU after working as a graduate assistant at Baylor.— Mike Casazza (@mikecasazza) April 6, 2016
@mikecasazza once saw a clinic where Holgo spent like 5 minutes showing Carrier blocking the crap out of people despite being like 140lbs— Chris B. Brown (@smartfootball) April 6, 2016
@mikecasazza was a real point of pride. Said something to effect of, "you might be tiny but our receivers will block."— Chris B. Brown (@smartfootball) April 6, 2016
Carrier and Holgorsen obviously have history together at the University of Houston. Couple that with his experience coaching Baylor's track squad as a GA and WVU may have found exactly what they needed to coach up the receivers. Whether or not he can achieve the recruiting prowess of the departed Lonnie Galloway will be the biggest question.
