West Virginia University women's soccer team used discipline and determination to knock out Oklahoma 2-0 in the Big 12 Soccer Championship semifinal match on Friday in Kansas City, Missouri. Grace Cutler and Sh'Nia Gordon scored the goals that sent WVU though to the Championship final to be played on Sunday.

Cutler scored on a rebound in the 41st minute. Kadeisha Buchanan knifed into OU's box and side-footed a shot that was saved. Cutler was primed to rebound and finished the goal to put the No. 1 seed Mountaineers (17-1-1) up 1-0.

The No. 4 seed Sooners (13-6-2) tried to find an equalizer throughout the second half, but the WVU defense held strong. The clean sheet was the 10th straight for the Mountaineers and pushed their goalless streak to 934 minutes.

The match was closed out by Gordon in the 90th minute by finishing off a quick counter attack. WVU cleared an OU free kick and Amandine Pierre-Louis darted up the field. Her cross into the area found Gordon, who sealed the victory for the Mountaineers.

WVU advances to the final of the Big 12 Soccer Championship on Sunday, November 6, at 3:30 p.m. The match will be televised on Fox Sports 1.
