After taking care of business against Mount Saint Mary’s, West Virginia took on the Mississippi Valley State Devils in game two of the 2016-2017 season. The Mountaineers took control of the game early, forcing 18 first half turnovers in route to breaking 100 points for the first time this season.

Nate Adrian channeled his inner Devin Williams and posted a double-double with 15 points and 14 rebounds, including 5 offensive rebounds. Esa Ahmad, Jevon Carter, Teyvon Meyers and LaMonte West all scored in double digits.

#PressVirginia was in full force in Morgantown, forcing 27 turnovers, including 16 steals. The Mountaineers out-rebounded the Devil 49-36 including 18 offensive rebounds. West Virginia shot much better from the free thrown line, making 16 of 22 free throws (72.7%) after shooting only 59% in their first game.

Shooting wise, West Virginia was able to make 41-of-83 shots (49.4%) including 9-of-25 (36%) from behind the arc. The Mountaineers also dished out 29 assists, including 6 by Nate Adrian and 8 by Jevon Carter.
