D'Angelo Hunter, a 6'7 wing from Navarro College in Texas, committed to Bob Huggins and the Mountaineers over the weekend.

Hunter commits to West Virginia just days after receiving his scholarship offer, and his recruitment seems to have came out of nowhere. Last season in junior college, he averaged 8 points per game for a Navarro team that finished the season 14-16 overall. He shot 36.7% from the field and 32.3% from three.
The numbers obviously don't jump out at you, but Huggins and his staff must consider him a project with a lot of potential. West Virginia was the first major program to offer him a scholarship, though reportedly others were giving him consideration.
Hunter joins four star forward Derek Culver and three star guard Brandon Knapper for the 2017 class. There is currently one more scholarship available in this class.
