The West Virginia football program has signed defensive back (safety) JoVanni Stewart to a National Letter of Intent to play football for the Mountaineers.
Stewart comes to Morgantown from football powerhouse Katy High School in Katy, TX. He is listed at 5'9" tall and weighs in at 185 lbs and has been timed in the 40 yard dash at 4.40 seconds.
All three major recruiting services have Stewart rated as a two star prospect.
JoVanni chose to end his recruitment in January of 2015 when he pledged his allegiance to Coach Dana Holgorsen and the Mountaineers after being offered a scholarship last September. He also had scholarship offers from Air Force, Amy, Bowling Green, McNeese State, New Mexico State, Texas-San Antonio and UTEP.
