Offensive Guard Chase Behrndt is now a West Virginia Mountaineer. Coming to Morgantown, West Virginia from Lafayette High School in St. Joseph, Missouri, Behrndt comes in at 6'4 285 pounds. Behrndt committed to the Mountaineer program in August.
Behrndt is a big pickup for head coach Dana Holgorsen and the Mountaineers as he's proven himself to be a great athlete. Chase Behrndt is also a star wrestler in the state of Missouri along with his football credentials.
Behrndt is wrestling for the Missouri state title and is currently undefeated. Chase broke his hand early in the wrestling season but has been cleared to play. Last season, he even made it to the state title match having pinned the No. 4 and No. 6 wrestlers in the state all while being the only junior to qualify.
Behrndt is the 45th ranked OG in the country and 2nd best in the state of Missouri according to Scout.com. He received 11 other offers to mull over.
