The Georgia Southern University Eagles will be without their predicted starting quarterback for their first game of the year at Milan Puskar Stadium when they face the West Virginia Mountaineers. Kevin Ellison has been ruled academically ineligible and will miss the GSU's first two games.

Though just finishing with over 1,000 yards passing while completing only about 55 percent of his passes, the junior dominated on the ground rushing for 1,096 yards and 12 touchdowns, all while dealing with injuries. Due to these numbers Ellison was named to the All Sun Belt Second Team in 2014.

The Eagles will have to replace that production come September 5th when they come into a wild Morgantown environment under the lights for the Mountaineer's home opener.

Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 P.M.
