Freshman Wide Receivers Spring To Top Of New Depth Chart

Coach Dana Holgorsen has released an updated version of the depth chart and has given an early look at what the starting lineup may look like heading into the September 5th season opener against Georgia Southern.

Perhaps the most interesting changeup to the updated depth chart is the emergence of the Freshman wide receivers who are now listed as first string. JUCO transfer Ka'Raun White and true freshman Jovon Durante are listed as co-starters at the X position. On the other side, redshirt sophomore Shelton Gibson and true freshman Gary Jennings will look to split time at the Z position.

Other developments on the offensive side include Yodny Cajuste slated at starting left tackle, Rushel Shell listed as the starting running back, and Wendell Smallwood is listed as the top h-back.

Defensively, the lineup looks about the same as we saw on the depth chart released during Big 12 Media Days. On Special Teams, KJ Dillon is now listed as the starting punt and kick return man with Jovon Durante and Shelton Gibson backing him up in those positions, respectively.
