Personal Note:

First and foremost, I want to take this opportunity to thank WVUIE97 and the rest of the staff here at The Smoking Musket for allowing me to join in on the party.

Next, I want to welcome everyone to the next era of the Shotgun/Throwdown. I'll be your captain on this vessel taking you through the highs and lows of Mountaineer sports. I'm not going to come in here on my first day and completely change everything you've grown to love about the Shotgun/Throwdown. I plan on letting this evolve naturally over the course of the next couple weeks and months. There's a reason The Smoking Musket is one of the best blogs on the SB Nation network, and I only want to make us that much better. So sit back and let's take this journey together. And of course...
