Matthew Jones, from Hubbard High School in Ohio, submitted his letter of intent to West Virginia University today.
Jones played on both sides of the football in high school, but was recruited for his abilities on the Offensive Line. During his time at Hubbard High, he played Offensive Guard, Nose Tackle, Defensive End, and Tackle. With that type of diversity and physical ability, it's easy to see why West Virginia targeted the 6'4 300 lb behemoth.
Ron Crook was Jones' primary recruiter, and was assisted by Tony Gibson. Jones had also received offers from Kentucky and Toledo, but has been committed to WVU since February 1, 2014. Based on his recruiting activity, West Virginia was his first choice during the entire process.
Welcome home, Mr. Jones!
