New Jersey native Chris Chugunov is one of two quarterbacks in the 2015 class.

Quarterback Chris Chugunov is a West Virginia Mountaineer. The 6'2, 190 lb. quarterback enrolled early and has been on campus since early January.

Chugunov committed to the Mountaineers last June after attending a camp and never wavered from his decision. West Virginia was the first major program to offer him a scholarship.

As a senior at Montgomery High School in Skillman, New Jersey, Chugunov threw for nearly 3,000 yards for 27 touchdowns and only 3 interceptions. Per Scout.com, he was selected all-state second team in New Jersey and was named as the Courier News offensive player of the year.

As with David Sills, Chugunov is likely to be a redshirt for the 2015 season. But with an unsettled quarterback situation, anything could happen. Having both quarterbacks on campus for the Spring semester increases the chances of the QB competition becoming a four horse race.
