ESPN reporter Brett McMurphy is reporting that WVU Coach Dana Holgorsen will not be fired and will coach the team in 2016.
Dana Holgorsen will return to West Virginia next season, a source told @ESPN

After opening the season with a three game winning streak, Deathtober came along and put the Mountaineers record at 3-4 (0-4 to start Big 12 play) and Holgorsen's seat was more than a little warm.
Then a respectable four game winning streak seemed to quiet critics (for the most part) before a head scratching loss at Kansas State marked by a curious game plan in the second half. The last few days have been marked by reports that Holgorsen was meeting with AD Shane Lyons & WVU president E. Gordon Gee to discuss his future; not unexpected after any season, much less after one so frustrating. It seems Holgorsen's job is safe for now. Stay tuned to the Musket to see if any changes to the assistant staff or program are coming.
