Brown Sugar Bacon Smokies (Meat Candy)

Ingredients

bacon, brown sugar, Hillshire Farm Lit'l Smokies (1 lb of bacon for every package of Lit'l Smokies)

Directions

  1. cut the bacon in thirds
  2. wrap Lit'l Smokies with bacon, arrange in single layer on sheet pan (approximately 1 inch deep to prevent mess in oven)
  3. make slurry of warm water and brown sugar (just enough water to make it approx. pancake syrup consistency)
  4. spoon brown sugar syrup generously over the wrapped smokies
  5. sprinkle more solid brown sugar on the smokies (if you want)
  6. bake in oven for 30-40 min at 400
