Game Thread: West Virginia Mountaineers Gold-Blue Spring Game

New, 4 comments

Join your rowdy friends for some running commentary on the little taste of football we get before the fall. Maybe we'll even find a quarterback.

Spring is sprung and it's time for the annual West Virginia Gold-Blue Spring football game. We'll get a little taste of football to carry us through the dog days of spring and summer, not to mention get a glimpse of what to expect from the 2014 Mountaineers. The biggest question is obviously who will play quarterback, but we'll also be watching to see if Mario Alford is ready to make The Leap, if Rushel Shell is all he's cracked up to be and who could step up on the defensive side of the ball to be a difference-maker.

Pregame starts on IMG at 12:30 and kick is set for 1:10 EST at Milan Puskar Stadium, but if you're not able to make it to the game it will be streamed live at WVUSports.com. And if you want a little something to get you in the mood, check out a great preview by IMG's Jed Drenning and Jeff Culhane HERE.

So get your computer fired up, grab your favorite frosty beverage (and a heapin' helpin' of hope) and join us for all the wisecracking, hand-wringing, celebrating and general genius that you've come to expect. The fun starts below:
