West Virginia Will Face Georgetown Tuesday In The NIT On ESPN

The Mountaineers had to wait for the last NIT bracket to be revealed, but the WVU cagers will continue into post-season play in 2014. It's an old (but not old-old) Big East matchup in the Verizon Center in the heart of the nation's capital on Tuesday night on ESPN at 7 pm ET.

Location correction:

WVU v. Georgetown will be played on campus at McDonough Gym at 7 p.m on ESPN.

With WVU getting a 5 seed, it will be up to them to beat the Hoyas and hope the #8 seed Florida Gulf Coast can upset the quadrant's #1 seed Florida St. if WVU is to host a second round game.

Here is the seeding breakdown for the "Florida State Quadrant" that WVU is playing in:

• 1 - Florida St
• 8 - Florida Gulf Coast
• 4 - Georgetown
• 5 - West Virginia
• 3 - Louisiana Tech
• 6 - Iona
• 2 - Georgia
• 7 - Vermont

First and second round games are played on the higher seed's home court, with the semi-finals and finals in Madison Square Garden.
