Allan Taylor of WV MetroNews reported the following on Friday afternoon on West Virginia Mountaineer starting quarterback Clint Trickett:

There is plenty to be said about what this means to the Mountaineer football program, but now is not the time for that. Player health is a serious issue in the college football landscape especially in this day and age. What we need to do right now as a fan base is thank Clint for his efforts on and off the field and wish him the best in both his future coaching career and, most importantly, his health long-term. Once a Mountaineer, always a Mountaineer.
