WVU basketball's two 2015 recruits, Esa Ahmad and James "Beetle" Bolden have signed their national letters of intent during the NCAA's early signing period.
Ahmad, a 6'8 forward from Shaker Heights, Ohio, is the highest rated recruit to come to West Virginia since Devin Ebanks committed in 2008. He is ranked as the #43 player in the country according to ESPN100, and is rated as a four star prospect by all of the major recruiting services.
Bolden, a 6'0 point guard from Covington, Kentucky, will likely come in and compete right away for the starting point guard position. He is rated as a three star recruit by most services.
Having these guys signed early is great, if for no other reason than there are now no worries about them changing their minds (as happens often in recruiting 18 year olds).
There is one more scholarship left for the 2015 class after West Virginia native Levi Cook decommitted. Cook has stated that WVU is still in the running, but it's yet to be determined who will join Ahmad and Bolden in Morgantown next season.
