Where in the hell did this come from?

What started for me earlier in the day as checking into what I thought was baseless rumors has shifted to full blown astonishment.
This is the only report that could verify the rumors. As to the reasons why, there is sure to be a great deal of speculation, but it is likely to be just that...speculation.
Ford Childress was a red-shirt freshman who entered fall camp "in the mix" at the quarterback situation that never resolved itself as the season progressed. Childress was elevated to starter following the Oklahoma game. He started the Georgia State game, setting several freshman quarterback records before playing the Maryland game with a torn labrum. He was subsequently replaced by Clint Trickett the following week.
We will update and report as more information comes available.
