Wide Out Jacob McCrary Officially A Mountaineer

Receiver chooses WVU over several top-flight programs.

Jacob McCrary, a 6-0, 190-lb receiver from Coral Reef Senior High School in Miami, Florida committed to the Mountaineers last summer and made that commitment official today.  He has been mentioned as being one of the more active "recruiters" of other talent in this class.  Given three stars by each of the major recruiting services, he has posted 40-second times ranging from 4.51 to 4.65 and his pass-catching abilities drew the interest of a number of top-flight schools: Alabama, Auburn, Arkansas, Florida State, Clemson, UCLA, and Ohio State among them.  In fact, McCrary, who had a breakout performance at the Nike Sparq Combine, had earlier committed to Florida State and then Clemson, before ultimately deciding to bring his talent to Morgantown.  He was recruited by JaJuan Seider and Lonnie Galloway.

Some high school highlights show that he has good separation after the catch when running slants across the middle and a real knack for elevating to catch the ball when running routes downfield.

Welcome to Morgantown, Jake!
