Junior College Offensive Tackle Sylvester Townes will continue his football career at West Virginia University. A 6’6", 285 lb transfer from Coahoma Community College in Clarksdale, Mississippi, Townes adds a big body up front to help protect the QB (whichever one eventually wins the job..ahem) and open holes for our backs. Townes had offers from Kentucky, Memphis, Texas Tech and others. A late push by USF appeared to have put things in question for Townes, but he ultimately picked West Virginia to call home. Wise decision young man!
