Game Preview
With the recent WVU fan base attitude of "everything sucks" this game in Norman tonight probably won't help. The Mountaineers have cemented themselves to be playing in the first round of the Big XII Tournament with a four game losing streak. This doesn't add in the fact that Kabongo is now eligible for UT and could leap frog WVU for 6th in the conference standings with a (very conceivable) win in Lubbock and the Mountaineers falling tonight and Saturday to Iowa State (both, again, very conceivable.)
Outside of the Mountaineer prospective, OU has playing really well after a route of the Cyclones on Saturday. The Sooners are currently a 10-seed in Joe Lunardi's most recent bracket and look to keep climbing for an easier route to the second (or third? regionals? whatever the hell the NCAA is calling it) round. A win at home to the Eers wouldn't exactly help their resume, but the latter would be certainly looked at as a "bad loss." We will see if Lon Kruger can discipline his team enough to get up for the bad games as much as they do for the big ones.
Prediction: OU 73 - WVU 60
